Lifestyle Changes for Hormone Balance

The most powerful way to resolve estrogen dominance is by making some key lifestyle changes.

(In case you missed my 2 previous posts about this topic—be sure to read the two previous blog posts.)

Here are four places to start:

1️⃣ Boost Fiber

Fiber supports the growth of healthy gut bacteria, which helps the balance of gut bacteria, leading to less beta-glucuronidase production and better estrogen excretion. Fiber also helps with healthy bowel movements and elimination (including the elimination of estrogen).

2️⃣ Cut Alcohol

Alcohol burdens the liver and increases activity of the estrogen-producing aromatase enzyme. It also worsens insulin resistance. Avoiding alcohol can dramatically improve hormone balance.

3️⃣ Balance Blood Sugar

Adding fat and protein to each meal can help balance blood sugar, which otherwise gets too high from carbohydrates and leads to insulin resistance.

4️⃣ Get Exercise

Exercise helps with several of the hidden causes of estrogen dominance—including body fat and insulin resistance. Getting into a routine of moving your body every day will help support hormone health.

5️⃣Use Clean Products

Choose clean beauty products and household cleaning products to reduce exposure to xenoestrogens. Use stainless steel or glass water bottles instead of plastic.

These steps can dramatically reduce excess estrogen and help you feel your best.

If you need to go further, apply here to become a patient.

We’re happy to help!
